In addition to this role, he led Alcoa’s Global Transformation initiatives, focusing on improving efficiency, driving cost optimization, and implementing strategic changes to enhance competitiveness.
During his tenure at Alcoa, Poirier also served as President of Alcoa Canada, where he gained significant experience managing operations in a highly regulated and capital-intensive industry.
