
NewYork GreenCloud Acquires Buena Vista Biomass Facility to Launch Carbon-Negative AI Factory
NewYork GreenCloud (NYGC), a pioneer in sustainable AI infrastructure, announced today the acquisition of the Buena Vista Biomass Power (BVBP) facility, located in Ione, California. The site will serve as NYGC’s first large-scale carbon-negative AI Factory, integrating advanced biomass-to-pyrolysis energy systems with behind-the-meter, liquid-cooled AI computing infrastructure. This move positions NYGC at the forefront of combining high-performance computing with renewable, baseload energy solutions.

The redevelopment of the Buena Vista site is a joint effort between NYGC and BucSha Energy, a leading biomass-to-pyrolysis engineering firm. The partnership aims to convert the existing 18MW facility into a 41MW power plant capable of feeding an on-site AI factory with renewable, baseload energy. This energy will directly support next-generation GPU clusters, enabling high-performance AI computing without reliance on fossil fuels.
