Microvast Unveils Groundbreaking EV Battery Tech at IAA Transportation 2024

The new products include silicon-based HnSO Cells, Lithium Titanate Oxide (LTO) Cells, and the third-generation MV-I Pack, offering unparalleled energy density, safety, and sustainability for electric commercial vehicles.

Key Technological Highlights:

  • HnSO Cells: Featuring an energy density of 300 Wh/kg, these silicon-based cells provide long cycle life (over 4,000 cycles) and lower total cost of ownership, ideal for long-range battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs).
  • Lithium Titanate Oxide (LTO) Cells: Known for their superior safety and longevity, LTO cells offer up to 20,000 cycles and an energy density of 100 Wh/kg, making them perfect for high-power applications in demanding conditions.
  • Third Generation MV-I Pack: A robust and lightweight solution with up to 200 Wh/kg energy density and over 5,000 full cycles. It integrates Microvast’s 5th generation Battery Management System (BMS), compliant with ISO 26262 ASIL-C and advanced cybersecurity standards.
  • BMS 5.0: This fifth-generation Battery Management System ensures top-tier safety and security for electric vehicles, adhering to ISO 26262 ASIL-C and ISO/SAE 21434:2021 standards.
