American Water to Contribute Expertise to Several Panels at the 2023 NARUC Annual Meeting and Education Conference

American Water (NYSE: AWK), the largest regulated water and wastewater utility company in the U.S., announced today that three representatives will join regulatory policy panels at the 2023 National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) Annual Meeting and Education Conference, taking place November 12 through 15 in La Quinta, Calif.

Jason Stephenson, Vice President, Chief Regulatory Policy Counsel, is taking part in a panel titled Exploring Fair Market Value Acquisitions. Stephenson, along with other expert panelists, will highlight how fair market value treatment of water and wastewater system acquisitions can address the investment gap in this critical infrastructure.

Lori Sutton, Chief Inclusion Officer, is participating in a discussion on Building a Better Utility Workforce for the Future: Programs, Practices, Lessons Learned. Sutton will highlight key steps American Water is taking to prepare and recruit a diverse utility workforce for the future.

David Pippen, Senior Director, Corporate Counsel, will contribute to a Lunch and Learn, featuring trending hot topics across the utility industry.
