The World’s First Run-through Co-phase Power Supply Project Completes Handover Test

Recently, the world’s first 128-kilometer run-through co-phase power supply demonstration project completed the handover test at the Sidaoliu Substation of the Batuta-Zhunge’er Line operated by Xinshuo Railway Co., Ltd.

Leveraging co-phase power supply theory, modern electric-electronic technology, and modern measurement and control technology, the project has realized a higher level of run-through co-phase power supply on the basis of the conventional co-phase power supply achieved by a single substation. It is a key project in the drive to build China into a country with a strong transportation network and an important practice to implement the national strategy of achieving carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.

The completion of this handover test indicated that the construction of the project in the substation is nearly completed, and conditions for the main equipment to put into operation are ripe, laying a solid foundation for the project’s full operation.
