Centuri Appoints Michael Christy as Executive Vice President, Group Development Officer

Centuri Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CTRI), a leading North American provider of utility and energy infrastructure services, has announced the appointment of Michael Christy as Executive Vice President, Group Development Officer. The leadership appointment is intended to strengthen the company’s strategic execution, commercial development and ability to capitalize on opportunities across the evolving North American energy infrastructure market.

In his new position, Christy will have responsibility for helping Centuri execute its corporate strategy by evaluating end-market opportunities and aligning the company’s capabilities with the changing requirements of its customers. His role will span strategy development, groupwide sales and business development processes, customer relationship management and market positioning.

Christy will also be responsible for supporting Centuri’s efforts to generate organic growth by maximizing capabilities across the organization. His responsibilities will include identifying opportunities for tuck-in acquisitions that can expand or strengthen the company’s capabilities in areas aligned with its Vision One Centuri strategy. Alongside his corporate duties, Christy will lead Centuri’s non-union electric businesses.

The appointment brings an experienced energy infrastructure executive to Centuri’s leadership team at a time when utilities and other infrastructure customers continue to require expanded construction, maintenance and modernization services. By combining strategic development with operating responsibilities, the company expects Christy to help connect customer needs with the capabilities available throughout Centuri’s operating businesses.

Christy joins Centuri following his tenure at Pike Enterprises, where he served as Executive Vice President of Strategy and President of Pike Electric West. Before joining Pike, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Signal Energy, which is now known as CoVolt Power. His career has included senior leadership positions across utility, energy and infrastructure services, giving him experience in operations, strategy, business development and organizational leadership.

Earlier in his career, Christy spent more than 20 years in progressively senior positions at Quanta, ultimately serving as Executive Vice President at InfraSource Inc. He also held the position of Utilities Segment President at Primoris and served as Vice President of Operations at Dycom Industries.

Across these roles, Christy developed experience working with infrastructure markets and customers while overseeing operational organizations and strategic initiatives. Centuri said his background includes a focus on industry strategy and innovation, as well as developing leadership talent within organizations.

His appointment is closely connected to Centuri’s Vision One Centuri strategy, which is designed to support the company’s long-term growth by leveraging capabilities across its operating companies. The strategy emphasizes the use of Centuri’s broad infrastructure expertise to address customer requirements while creating opportunities for profitable expansion.

Centuri President and Chief Executive Officer Christian Brown welcomed Christy to the company and highlighted his industry experience and leadership background.

“Mike is an experienced and highly respected executive in our industry who will further strengthen our leadership team and ensure successful execution of our Vision One Centuri strategy,” Brown said. “We’re extremely pleased to have Mike join the organization as we maximize our opportunity to profitably serve customers with our comprehensive service offerings.”

Christy’s responsibilities will extend beyond traditional corporate strategy. As Group Development Officer, he will be involved in assessing market opportunities, developing commercial strategies and establishing greater alignment between customer demand and Centuri’s operating capabilities. This includes supporting groupwide sales and business development activities while maintaining relationships with customers and strengthening the company’s positioning in its targeted end markets.

The role also gives Christy responsibility for helping identify potential tuck-in acquisitions. Such transactions can allow infrastructure companies to add specialized capabilities, expand geographic coverage or strengthen existing service offerings. At Centuri, any opportunities identified through this process will be evaluated in the context of the company’s broader strategic objectives and its Vision One Centuri framework.

The company’s focus on organic growth also forms a significant part of Christy’s mandate. By coordinating capabilities across its operating companies, Centuri aims to increase the value of its existing platform and respond more effectively to customer requirements. His combined strategic and operational responsibilities are intended to support that objective.

Christy said Centuri’s position in the energy infrastructure sector and its integrated operating-company model were important factors in his decision to join the organization.

“Centuri is uniquely positioned to capitalize on tremendous energy infrastructure opportunities and leverage its company-wide capabilities to deliver enduring value for its customers and shareholders,” Christy said.

He added that the company’s vision of creating shareholder value through its integrated operating companies resonated with him. Christy said he looks forward to applying his industry and operational experience to developing and implementing commercial strategies and organizational alignment designed to support Centuri’s long-term performance.

The appointment comes as North American utilities and energy infrastructure providers continue to address significant requirements for construction, maintenance, expansion and modernization. Infrastructure investment spans electric systems, utility networks and other critical energy assets, creating opportunities for companies with established operating capabilities and customer relationships.

For Centuri, Christy’s appointment brings together strategic development, sales, business development and operational leadership under a single executive role. His responsibility for the company’s non-union electric businesses will also provide a direct connection between corporate strategy and field-level execution.

Centuri expects the combination of Christy’s industry experience and operational background to contribute to the continued implementation of its strategic priorities. His work will focus on understanding customer and end-market requirements, positioning the company’s capabilities accordingly, and identifying avenues for both organic expansion and complementary acquisitions.

Through the appointment, Centuri is reinforcing its leadership structure as it seeks to expand its infrastructure services platform and strengthen relationships across the markets it serves. Christy’s extensive experience across utility and energy infrastructure businesses is expected to support the company’s efforts to execute its Vision One Centuri strategy and pursue long-term growth opportunities.
