Centuri Secures More Than $475 Million in New Customer Awards

Centuri Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CTRI), a leading North American provider of utility and energy infrastructure services, has announced more than $475 million in new commercial awards, highlighting continued momentum in its strategic growth initiatives and reinforcing the company’s position across the electric and natural gas infrastructure markets.

The latest awards reflect Centuri’s Vision One Centuri strategy, which is designed to build on the company’s established operational capabilities, longstanding customer relationships, and experience in complex infrastructure projects while increasing its focus on higher-margin opportunities. The company said the newly secured work demonstrates its ability to leverage its core strengths while expanding into markets where demand for reliable energy infrastructure remains strong.

The $475 million-plus award package includes a combination of new projects, new and expanded Master Services Agreements (MSAs), and renewals with established customers. Approximately 81% of the total award value comes from new projects and new or expanded MSAs, while the remaining 19% consists of renewals of existing MSAs with long-term customers.

According to Centuri, the mix of awards provides a broad range of opportunities across its electric and natural gas capabilities. The projects include complex, multi-discipline infrastructure work supporting a hyperscale data center, a major natural gas infrastructure upgrade program, transmission line reconstruction, and natural gas pipeline installation.

One of the most significant developments is Centuri’s award of a multi-discipline project supporting a hyperscale data center. The project represents the first work secured following the company’s recent acquisition of JJ White, marking an early example of how the acquisition is contributing to Centuri’s growth strategy.

The data center-related award is particularly significant as electricity demand from hyperscale facilities continues to increase. The rapid expansion of cloud computing, artificial intelligence, digital services, and data-intensive applications is creating substantial requirements for new and upgraded power infrastructure. Utility contractors with expertise across multiple disciplines are increasingly positioned to support developers and infrastructure owners as they build the electrical systems required to serve these large-scale facilities.

Centuri’s management views the project as an opportunity to expand the company’s presence in the electric and industrial infrastructure markets. The JJ White acquisition adds capabilities and scale that can complement Centuri’s existing operations and allow the company to pursue a broader range of projects.

The company also secured a major project to complete the third phase of complex natural gas infrastructure upgrades for a long-standing customer. The award builds on Centuri’s existing relationship with the customer and extends its involvement in a multi-stage infrastructure program.

Multi-phase projects can provide infrastructure contractors with greater visibility into future work while allowing them to apply knowledge gained during earlier stages to subsequent construction activities. Centuri said these types of opportunities have historically supported attractive profit margins, making them an important component of its strategy to pursue profitable growth.

Another major award involves the reconstruction of approximately 23 miles of transmission line for a new customer. Transmission infrastructure has become an increasingly important area of investment as utilities work to improve grid reliability, replace aging assets, accommodate rising electricity demand, and connect new generation resources.

The expansion of renewable energy, electrification, data center development, and industrial activity is also increasing pressure on existing electricity networks. Transmission upgrades and rebuilds are therefore expected to remain an important source of infrastructure investment, creating opportunities for contractors with specialized construction and maintenance expertise.

Centuri’s latest awards also include the installation of approximately 14 miles of natural gas pipeline under the renewal of an existing Master Services Agreement. The project demonstrates the continued value of the company’s established customer relationships and its ability to generate additional work through long-term contractual arrangements.

MSAs provide utilities and infrastructure customers with access to contractors for recurring construction, maintenance, replacement, and upgrade activities. For Centuri, these agreements can create a foundation of recurring revenue while also providing opportunities to secure additional project work as customer requirements evolve.

The balance between new customers, expanded agreements, and established relationships is an important feature of Centuri’s latest bookings. While the majority of the award value comes from new projects and new or expanded MSAs, the renewal component highlights the strength and durability of the company’s relationships with its existing customer base.

Christian Brown, President and Chief Executive Officer of Centuri, said the latest awards resulted from a deliberate approach to pursuing profitable opportunities in strategic markets.

“Our latest commercial awards are the result of intentional pursuit of profitable growth in strategic markets, specifically diversified across our core electric and gas capabilities, with attractive opportunities in data centers as well as multi-stage projects that have historically delivered double digit profit margins,” Brown said.

He also highlighted the immediate contribution from Centuri’s acquisition of JJ White, noting that the transaction is already providing additional scale to support opportunities in the electric and industrial sectors.

The acquisition is part of Centuri’s broader effort to strengthen its capabilities and expand its addressable market. By combining its existing utility infrastructure expertise with JJ White’s capabilities, the company can pursue projects that require broader technical expertise and multi-discipline execution.

The latest commercial awards also demonstrate Centuri’s diversified approach to infrastructure services. Rather than relying on a single market, the company is pursuing opportunities across natural gas distribution and transmission, electric transmission, industrial infrastructure, and emerging demand associated with data center development.

This diversification could provide Centuri with greater flexibility as infrastructure investment patterns evolve. Natural gas infrastructure continues to require modernization and expansion, while electric utilities are increasing investment in transmission and grid infrastructure to support changing generation portfolios and growing electricity consumption.

Data centers represent another potentially significant growth market. The expansion of artificial intelligence and cloud computing is driving investment in large-scale facilities, creating demand for power generation, transmission, distribution, electrical systems, and related infrastructure services.

Centuri’s newest bookings build on a strong year of commercial activity. Including the latest awards, the company’s total commercial awards for the year-to-date period in 2026 have reached approximately $2.6 billion.

The cumulative bookings figure underscores the scale of demand Centuri is seeing across its target markets. The company’s ability to secure new projects while expanding and renewing existing customer agreements provides a combination of growth opportunities and ongoing customer engagement.

As North American utilities, energy companies, industrial customers, and data center developers continue investing in infrastructure, contractors with broad capabilities and established customer relationships are expected to play an important role in delivering these projects.

Centuri’s latest awards position the company to participate in several of these investment trends while maintaining its focus on project profitability. The company’s emphasis on higher-margin work, combined with its electric and gas capabilities and expanded industrial reach following the JJ White acquisition, forms a central part of its Vision One Centuri strategy.

With more than $2.6 billion in commercial awards secured year to date in 2026, Centuri enters the remainder of the year with a substantial portfolio of newly awarded work spanning multiple infrastructure markets. The latest $475 million-plus in awards further strengthens its backlog and demonstrates continued customer demand for the company’s utility and energy infrastructure services across North America.
