Avangrid Honors Key Suppliers and Business Partners

Avangrid Honors Six Suppliers at 2026 Supplier Day

Avangrid, Inc., a leading energy company and member of the Iberdrola Group, has recognized six suppliers and business partners for their contributions to its energy operations and infrastructure development. The companies were honored during the 2026 Avangrid Supplier Day event, which celebrated the partnerships supporting the safe delivery of reliable energy.

Their work includes supporting new generating capacity, maintaining and strengthening electricity distribution systems, responding to severe weather, and providing the equipment, services, and technical expertise needed to keep energy flowing to customers. Avangrid said these relationships are important as the company works to invest in critical infrastructure and respond to growing energy demand.

“Strong partnerships are essential to our ability to safely deliver reliable energy and build the infrastructure we need to meet growing demand,” said Avangrid CEO Jose Antonio Miranda. “These companies support everything we do, from building new generating capacity, to distributing electricity to our millions of customers, to keeping the lights on during storms.”

This year’s Supplier Day theme was “Stronger Together: Celebrating Collaboration & Building the Grid of Tomorrow.” The theme reflected the importance of cooperation between Avangrid and the businesses that support its operations. The awards recognized supplier performance in several areas, including health and safety, emergency and storm response, community impact, technology advancement, and overall service.

Avangrid named PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC, its Supplier of the Year. The company received the award in recognition of its contribution to Avangrid’s business and infrastructure work. M.A. Mortenson Company was recognized for Health and Safety, while Jalbear Brothers, Inc. received the Emergency and Storm Excellence award. LaBella Associates, P.C. was honored for Community Impact, and Floatograph Mast & Trailer Solutions, LLC received the Technology Advancement award. SEG Solar, Inc. was named New Supplier of the Year.

The awards highlight the range of capabilities required to support a modern energy business. Electrical contractors and construction companies contribute to infrastructure projects, while engineering and technology providers bring specialized knowledge and solutions. Other suppliers support field operations and emergency response, helping utilities address challenges and maintain service. Avangrid’s recognition program gives the company an opportunity to acknowledge these different contributions and the people involved in delivering them.

“This award really belongs to the folks in the field. Our crews, our engineers, and our subcontractors show up for Avangrid every day, and this recognition is theirs,” said Mitch Guess, Executive Vice President of PAR Electrical Contractors, a Quanta Services company. “With the support of Quanta Services, PAR and Avangrid’s commitment to safety and efficiency help reinforce the grid across the country with sustainable generation and transmission. Supplier Day was a great chance to celebrate with the Avangrid team, and we’re looking forward to many more projects together.”

SEG Solar, the recipient of the New Supplier of the Year award, also highlighted the relationship built around product quality, delivery, and corporate responsibility. The company said Avangrid’s confidence in its capabilities reflects a shared focus on dependable supply and the development of a stronger domestic manufacturing base.

“Avangrid chose SEG because of trust—in our product quality, our ability to deliver on time, and our environmental and corporate responsibility,” said Jim Wood, CEO of SEG Solar. “They’ve welcomed us into their circle of trust, and that means a great deal to our team. We earn that trust every day through rigorous quality assurance and quality control, reliable delivery, and doing what we say we will do. We’re proud to grow alongside Avangrid and share a commitment to building a strong domestic supply chain that supports American manufacturing and jobs.”

Avangrid’s supplier relationships represent a significant part of its annual business activity. The company purchases approximately $5 billion in goods and services each year through its longstanding supplier network. Those purchases cover the materials, services, and expertise required to operate its businesses and advance energy infrastructure projects across the United States.

The scale of this procurement activity underscores the importance of suppliers to the company’s daily operations and longer-term investment plans. Reliable access to equipment, construction services, engineering support, and other specialized capabilities helps Avangrid carry out work across its energy businesses. Close coordination with suppliers is also important when projects require multiple companies and teams to work together, particularly when safety, service reliability, and timely execution are central priorities.

Employees at Avangrid and its subsidiaries nominated vendors for recognition. A steering committee comprising representatives from Avangrid purchasing and business leadership reviewed the submissions and selected the six award recipients from approximately 40 nominated suppliers. The process drew on input from employees and leaders familiar with supplier performance across the company’s operations, projects, and service requirements and the needs of its customers.

For Avangrid, the six awards reflect the work of companies that help deliver energy to millions of customers and support the infrastructure needed for the future. The company’s procurement activity and supplier recognition program demonstrate the importance it places on these relationships as it continues working to strengthen the grid and provide reliable service. Through collaboration with its suppliers, Avangrid aims to support safe operations, resilient infrastructure, and the evolving needs of the energy sector.
