Autel Energy, a prominent provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, proudly announces the achievement of OCPP 2.0.1 Certification for its Charging Station Management System (CSMS) from the Open Charge Alliance (OCA). This milestone underscores Autel Energy’s dedication to advancing EV charging interoperability and security, solidifying its leadership in the industry.
OCPP 2.0.1, the latest iteration of the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP), released by OCA in 2020, stands as the globally recognized standard for efficient communication between charging stations and management software. With only 14 companies worldwide having attained this prestigious certification, Autel Energy joins an elite group.
Autel Energy’s CSMS successfully completes the Core and Advanced Security profiles of OCPP 2.0.1, showcasing robust security measures and seamless interoperability. The company is also nearing completion of the remaining six profiles and is poised to achieve full certification as soon as the process opens.
Autel’s EV Charging Software solution, comprising the CSMS and the charge app, serves over 100,000 customers across 70+ countries, facilitating over 600,000 charging sessions monthly and contributing to over 42 million kilograms of CO2 emissions reduction.
The OCPP 2.0.1 certification ensures enhanced security through the implementation of the Transport Layer Security (TLS) Protocol, supporting mandatory encryption and authentication mechanisms. Standardized communication protocols guarantee efficient and reliable data transmission, with all exchanges between the charging station and cloud encrypted to prevent tampering, leakage, or attacks. Two-way authentication between the station and cloud system ensures trusted communication, thwarting unauthorized access.
Autel’s CSMS offers robust interoperability, seamlessly integrating charging equipment from various manufacturers, ensuring wide compatibility, versatility, and high system stability and reliability. This accomplishment reinforces Autel Energy’s position as a leader in technological innovation and industry protocols, fostering customer trust, market competitiveness, and affirming its commitment to delivering secure, high-quality, interoperable charging solutions.
