TotalEnergies has reached a major milestone in the development of one of Europe’s most ambitious renewable energy projects. Through its wholly owned subsidiary, Centre Manche Energies, the company has officially submitted an application for the Single Authorization required to build and operate a 1.5-gigawatt offshore wind farm off the coast of Normandy, France.
The filing comes eight months after the French State awarded the project to Centre Manche Energies and represents a critical step toward transforming the large-scale offshore wind development from planning into reality.
