TCDC, New Era Energy & Digital Ink MOU for 1,600-Mile Texas Fiber Network

New Era Energy & Digital’s TCDC Signs MOU for 1,600-Mile High-Capacity Fiber Network Across Texas

New Era Energy & Digital, Inc. (Nasdaq: NUAI) (“New Era” or the “Company”), formerly operating as New Era Helium, Inc., announced a major step forward in its digital infrastructure strategy with news that Texas Critical Data Centers LLC (“TCDC”), its 50/50 joint venture with Sharon AI, Inc. (“Sharon AI”), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with GlobeLink Holdings, LLC (“GlobeLink”). The agreement centers on the development of a transformative 1,600-mile fiber optic network that will stretch across Texas, designed to meet the soaring demand for high-capacity digital connectivity.

Building Texas’ Next Digital Backbone

The system, once completed, is positioned to deliver one of the largest and fastest digital backbones in the region. It has been engineered with the next wave of technology in mind, particularly artificial intelligence (AI), hyperscale data processing, and enterprise cloud workloads. The network will be capable of delivering sub-5 millisecond latency alongside more than 30 terabits per second (Tbps) of throughput per fiber pair. This level of performance will ensure reliable and secure transmission for mission-critical applications and high-performance computing environments.

Texas Critical Data Centers’ flagship campus is expected to be directly connected to GlobeLink’s carrier-neutral infrastructure, ensuring that the new fiber system not only scales effectively but also supports redundancy and open access for a broad ecosystem of users. This will include hyperscalers, enterprises, cloud operators, and research organizations that depend on ultra-fast connectivity to process and transmit vast amounts of data.

GlobeLink’s Expansive Fiber Network

GlobeLink’s role in this development is central. The company brings to the table an expansive 2,400-mile terrestrial and subsea fiber network that interlinks some of the most critical urban and industrial centers in North America. This includes connections to Mexico City, Corpus Christi, Odessa, San Antonio, Austin, and Dallas—strategic hubs for both business and digital infrastructure.

By using Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) technology, GlobeLink will enable more than 30 Tbps of throughput per fiber pair. This state-of-the-art design ensures scalability while maintaining ultra-low latency, making the system particularly well-suited for hyperscaler interconnects, AI-driven applications, cloud service providers, and broader internet infrastructure demands.

The deployment is expected to play a transformative role in West Texas and surrounding regions. By combining TCDC’s world-class data center capabilities with GlobeLink’s next-generation fiber, the project will fill critical connectivity gaps, open opportunities for underserved communities, and firmly establish Texas as a leading hub for advanced digital infrastructure in North America.

A Strategic Milestone for New Era Energy & Digital

This MOU represents far more than a single infrastructure project; it reflects a cornerstone of New Era Energy & Digital’s broader vision to create a sustainable, scalable digital ecosystem. The agreement was facilitated by Global Connect Enterprises, Inc., which helped align the parties and accelerate progress toward this milestone.

For New Era, the fiber initiative fits neatly into its strategy to deploy full-scale digital infrastructure at its West Texas complex. The site, expected to grow beyond 1 gigawatt (GW), is designed to host multiple tenants and support large-scale data-driven operations. The company has already announced agreements to construct power infrastructure and deliver zero-carbon digital power supply for the facility, ensuring that the new ecosystem combines cutting-edge performance with environmental responsibility.
