Sylmar Group, a leader in industrial water services, has announced its acquisition of Eastern Technologies, Inc. (ETI), a recognized provider of custom chemical blending, technical support, and related services in the industrial water treatment market. Established in 1986 in Southeastern Pennsylvania, ETI has built a robust reputation over its 38 years of operation, specializing in water treatment solutions for cooling, heating, process, wastewater, and potable water applications.
This acquisition represents a key strategic move for Sylmar as it expands into the chemical blending sector, aligning with its commitment to managing supply chain risks and enhancing its service offerings. By integrating ETI into its portfolio, Sylmar aims to broaden its scope of water treatment solutions, providing customers with reliable, innovative, and cost-effective options tailored to their specific needs.
Robert Keeler, co-founder and board chairman of ETI, expressed his excitement about the partnership: “Our desire to preserve trusted partnerships with water treaters and maintain our position as an industry source of expertise were significant factors in our decision to partner with Sylmar. We look forward to building on this legacy with an owner committed to our customers and employees.”
As part of the deal, Gary Reggiani will continue in his role as ETI’s president, leading the company’s ongoing growth. ETI will operate with a dedicated team outside of Sylmar’s existing platforms, EAI Water and General Pump Company (GPC), maintaining its distinct customer-focused culture. This setup will allow ETI to retain its unique identity while benefiting from Sylmar’s financial and operational expertise.
Michael Warady, President of Sylmar Group, shared his enthusiasm for the acquisition: “We are excited about the future of ETI and its customers. Sylmar’s investment in this team, along with our plans for continued growth, will enhance ETI’s support for independent water treatment professionals and their critical customer missions across the country.”
The acquisition will significantly enhance Sylmar’s custom blending capabilities, reinforcing the company’s ability to meet the diverse chemistry and technical needs of both ETI and its EAI and GPC teams. This move solidifies Sylmar’s position as a comprehensive provider in the water industry, contributing to its goal of “Building the Future of Water” alongside ETI’s dedicated team.
In addition to expanding its service offerings, Sylmar’s acquisition of ETI reflects its strategic vision for long-term growth in the water treatment industry. The integration of ETI’s capabilities will enable Sylmar to further support its customers with cutting-edge solutions while ensuring the sustainability and efficiency of water treatment practices. As both companies work together, Sylmar aims to continue innovating and providing superior service to meet the ever-evolving demands of the water industry.
