One of the key advantages of the Phase-EQ is its ease of installation. As simple to install as a pad-mounted transformer, the Phase-EQ device offers several benefits for grid operations. It works continuously to mitigate phase imbalances, stabilize voltage fluctuations, and optimize system efficiency. A recent pilot project with National Grid in New York showcased the capabilities of the Phase-EQ technology. The project demonstrated how the device improved grid resilience and increased hosting capacity, all without the need for costly new infrastructure. The Phase-EQ dynamically balances power flow, reducing the need for manual grid adjustments and preventing expensive system upgrades. According to Switched Source, a single Phase-EQ unit could save utilities over $500,000 in capital expenses and increase load capacity by 1,200 kW.
