Sungrow Delivers Advanced Hybrid Energy System to Rehabilitation Center in Poland, Enhancing Healthcare Energy Resilience
Sungrow, a global leader in photovoltaic (PV) inverter and energy storage system (ESS) solutions, has successfully completed the deployment of an innovative hybrid energy project at a rehabilitation center in Rzeszów, Poland. Developed in collaboration with Recosolar, a local photovoltaic system installer specializing in residential and commercial sectors, the project is a significant step toward improving energy resilience and efficiency in the healthcare sector.
The initiative involved installing a 16 kWp rooftop solar PV system coupled with a 25 kWh energy storage solution. This state-of-the-art hybrid setup not only bolsters the facility’s energy independence but also enhances its capacity to manage energy consumption intelligently, ensuring operational continuity in the face of grid disturbances.
A Commitment to Reliable, Tailored Clean Energy Solutions
Sungrow’s investment in the Rzeszów rehabilitation center project reflects the company’s broader mission of providing dependable, efficient, and forward-looking renewable energy solutions tailored to client-specific needs.
“At Sungrow, we are committed to delivering innovative and reliable energy solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients. This project at the rehabilitation center in Rzeszów is a testament to our dedication to enhancing energy reliability and efficiency in the energy sector,” said Michał Kłos, Sungrow’s Country Manager for Poland.
This hybrid energy system marks a strategic deployment that balances technical performance with operational simplicity. It is designed not only to support the rehabilitation center’s daily energy needs but also to ensure continuous power availability during outages or grid instability—a vital factor for healthcare environments that depend on uninterrupted electricity.
Technical Highlights: Modular Hybrid Design
At the heart of the installation lies Sungrow’s SH15T hybrid inverter, a high-efficiency, 3-phase inverter known for its reliability, robust performance, and user-friendly integration features. Boasting a conversion efficiency of over 98%, the SH15T enables stable and uninterrupted energy supply, even in challenging grid conditions. Its hybrid functionality allows seamless integration between PV generation and battery storage, ensuring energy flows are optimized in real-time based on the facility’s consumption patterns.
The inverter is paired with a 25 kWh energy storage system comprising five of Sungrow’s SBH100 battery modules, each offering 5 kWh of high-voltage storage. These lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries are designed with a modular, stackable configuration that allows for straightforward future expansion—up to eight modules in total. The SBH100 batteries are capable of handling a 50A continuous charge and discharge current, making them ideal for both short-term backup and long-duration energy management.
This architecture offers the rehabilitation center both flexibility and scalability—two critical attributes for institutions that may see changes in energy requirements over time, whether due to facility expansion, regulatory changes, or increased digitalization of operations.
Smart Energy Management Through iHomeManager
To further enhance energy efficiency and operational control, the hybrid system is integrated with Sungrow’s iHomeManager platform. This smart energy management system allows facility operators to monitor, control, and optimize energy flows across various components, including lighting, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, and other smart home integrations.
iHomeManager not only provides detailed real-time analytics on energy generation and consumption but also enables automatic scheduling and optimization. For instance, excess solar energy can be stored during daylight hours and used during peak demand or after sunset, significantly reducing dependency on the public grid and optimizing electricity bills.
The system’s automation capabilities are especially valuable for the healthcare industry, where even minor power fluctuations can impact sensitive medical equipment and operational workflows. By maintaining consistent power supply and providing full oversight of energy data, the iHomeManager platform serves as a key enabler of resilience and sustainability.
Recosolar’s Role and Partnership Synergy

Recosolar, Sungrow’s local partner on the project, played a critical role in designing and implementing the system. With extensive experience in both residential and commercial PV installations, Recosolar’s involvement ensured the solution was effectively tailored to the needs of the healthcare facility.
“Sungrow products are easy to install, highly reliable, and backed by excellent local technical support. This project showcases how clean energy can support the healthcare sector in Poland and beyond,” said Paweł Bytnar, a representative of Recosolar.
The collaboration between Sungrow and Recosolar exemplifies how global technological innovation can be successfully localized to address specific community and industry needs. Together, the partners delivered a turnkey solution that balances performance, resilience, and economic efficiency.
Benefits for the Rehabilitation Center
The newly commissioned hybrid system brings several key benefits to the rehabilitation center in Rzeszów. First and foremost is energy independence, allowing the facility to maintain operations without relying entirely on grid power, which can be susceptible to outages or instability. This is particularly critical in a medical environment, where lives may depend on uninterrupted electricity supply.
The system also provides full real-time monitoring and optimization, ensuring that any anomalies in performance can be identified and addressed promptly. Through smart load management, the facility is now positioned to maximize self-consumption of the solar energy it generates, further reducing operational costs and carbon emissions.
Moreover, the integration of Sungrow’s system into the facility’s existing infrastructure was seamless. Thanks to its modular design and compatibility with modern building management systems (BMS), the solution supports interoperability and can evolve alongside future upgrades in smart building technology.
