Submission of the” operation Documents for blessing to Amend the perpetration Plan for Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station Specified Nuclear Facility” Regarding the running of mounts Treated Water

Considering the Japanese government’s introductory policy blazoned in April 2021, TEPCO had been reviewing the details of the design and operation of mounts treated water dilution/ discharge installation and affiliated installations. On December 21, 2021, TEPCO submitted the” operation Documents for blessing to Amend the perpetration Plan for Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station Specified Nuclear Facility” for the introductory design of mounts treated water dilution/ discharge installation and affiliated installations to the Nuclear Regulation Authority( NRA), and on July 22, 2022, these operation documents were approved by the NRA.
In order to make the description applicable due to the addition of specifications for the main pipes related to mounts treated water dilution/ discharge installation in the operation to amend for” Installation of ventilation outfit and other outfit on the large cover covering the Unit 1 reactor structure”, on October 17, 2022, we submitted to the NRA a partial correction to the” operation for blessing of Changes to the perpetration Plan for Specific Nuclear installations at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station”. These operation documents were approved by the NRA on October 27.
Moment, we submitted to the NRA the” operation Documents for blessing to Amend the perpetration Plan for Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station Specified Nuclear Facility” to reflect the organizational structure for operation and conservation operation of the mounts treated water dilution/ discharge installation, the nuclides to be measured and assessed to corroborate the water meets the discharge criteria before discharge into the ocean, and the results of the Radiological Environmental Impact Assessment regarding the discharge of mounts treated water into the ocean( construction stage). We’ll respond unfeignedly to the reviews conducted by the Nuclear Regulatory Agency.

We’ll continue to completely apply measures related to the running of mounts treated water grounded on the Japanese government’s introductory policy while continuing to precisely hear to the opinions from parties concerned so as to further insure safety.
