SLB (NYSE: SLB) and TotalEnergies (NYSE: TTE) have announced a 10-year partnership aimed at co-developing scalable digital solutions to enhance access to energy resources with improved performance and efficiency. This collaboration establishes a flexible framework for addressing key challenges across the energy value chain, including carbon capture, utilization, and sequestration (CCUS).
The partnership will integrate advanced digital capabilities, such as artificial intelligence (AI), into new and existing applications on SLB’s extensible Delfi™ digital platform, following the Open Group’s OSDU® Technical Standard. By combining digital expertise with domain knowledge, SLB and TotalEnergies aim to accelerate the development and deployment of digital solutions on a global scale, benefiting TotalEnergies’ operations and SLB’s customer base worldwide.
Rakesh Jaggi, President of SLB’s Digital & Integration business, emphasized the importance of collaboration in advancing energy access solutions: “With this visionary partnership, we’re leveraging the combined expertise of both companies to expedite the delivery of new digital capabilities that will drive industry-wide benefits.”
Initially, the partnership will focus on developing subsurface digital solutions for reservoir engineering and geoscience modeling and interpretation, utilizing SLB’s Delfi™ on-demand reservoir simulation (ODRS). These efforts will leverage AI to accelerate and automate processes, drawing on real-world insights from both partners.
Namita Shah, President of OneTech at TotalEnergies, highlighted the strategic impact of these digital advancements: “Through this digital partnership, we aim to pioneer next-generation software, digital applications, and algorithms in geoscience.
