OPAL Fuels Inc. (Nasdaq: OPAL) has announced the opening of its third fueling station in El Centro, CA, in partnership with GT Carriers Inc., a Southern California regional freight carrier. The new station, expected to be operational by December, is the third OPAL Fuels has built for GT Carriers in Southern California.
Owned by OPAL Fuels, these stations operate under long-term fuel supply agreements with GT Carriers. This collaboration expands OPAL Fuels’ renewable natural gas (RNG) dispensing network, which now includes over 300 stations nationwide.
The partnership supports OPAL Fuels’ “Cleaner, Cheaper, Now” mission, providing cleaner fuel alternatives for heavy-duty fleets, reducing carbon emissions, and lowering diesel costs. The stations are strategically located along key Southern California transit routes, allowing GT Carriers to efficiently transport agricultural products across the southwestern U.S.
Luis Garcia, President of GT Carriers, noted, “Our partnership with OPAL Fuels significantly reduces diesel costs while helping us achieve our sustainability goals by cutting carbon emissions.”
Adam Comora, co-CEO of OPAL Fuels, emphasized the growth of their Fuel Station Services business, stating, “Customers like GT Carriers recognize RNG as one of the cleanest, most affordable transportation fuels. Our fueling station expansion and vertical integration provide strategic access to the U.S. transportation fuel market.”
