
OPAL Fuels Expands Goshen Station to Boost RNG and CNG Capacity for California Fleets
OPAL Fuels has completed a major renovation and upgrade of its fueling station in Goshen, California, strengthening the availability of renewable natural gas (RNG) and compressed natural gas (CNG) for heavy-duty transportation fleets operating across the state’s Central Valley.
The upgraded facility, located at 30981 Road 67 in Goshen, is expected to dispense approximately 14 million gasoline gallon equivalents (GGE) of RNG and CNG during the next decade. The renovation has added approximately 1.7 million GGE of new fueling capacity, allowing the site to accommodate increasing demand from commercial, agricultural and regional transportation customers.
The project also provides additional fueling support for Premier Ag Transportation Inc., which uses the station to fuel its fleet while continuing to serve Western Milling and ten other commercial and regional customers. In total, twelve fleets are currently using the facility.
OPAL Fuels, a producer and distributor of renewable and compressed natural gas transportation fuels, acquired the Goshen station in 2025. The company subsequently carried out an extensive modernization program through 2026, transforming what had previously been an underutilized fueling asset into a public-access hub designed to serve heavy-duty trucks and fleets.
The investment reflects the growing role that alternative fuels are expected to play in reducing transportation emissions, particularly in heavy-duty applications where fleet operators require reliable fueling infrastructure, competitive operating costs and the ability to maintain demanding schedules.
Expanded Capacity for Heavy-Duty Transportation
The Central Valley is one of California’s most important transportation and agricultural regions. Large volumes of agricultural products and commercial goods move through the region every day, creating significant demand for heavy-duty trucks and dependable fueling infrastructure.
