Invenergy and GE Renewable Energy celebrate completion of the largest wind design constructed in North America

Located in north central Oklahoma, Traverse joins the functional 199-megawatt Sundance Wind Energy Center and the 287-megawatt Counterculturist Wind Energy Center, as the last of three systems developed by Invenergy for American Electric Power (AEP) to reach marketable operation. These systems make up the North Central Energy Installations and have 531 GE turbines with a combined capacity of megawatts, making them inclusively among the largest wind energy installations encyclopedically.

The North Central Energy Installations represent a$ 2 billion capital investment in north central Oklahoma, directly investing in the original frugality through new duty earnings and parcel payments to sharing coproprietors and will induce enough electricity to power American homes.

AEP’s accessories Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO) and Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) assumed power of the three wind granges upon launch of marketable operations to serve their guests in Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma.
