Leonardo chooses Enel X to launch its energy tone- generation program
An ambitious program to increase the share of energy from renewable sources, ameliorate the value of its artificial areas, reduce CO2 emigrations and diversify energy sources, an issue more applicable than ever during this period of violent request pressure. This is Leonardo’s plan for energy effectiveness and progressive decarbonization of its artificial conditioning, now also supported by the signing of agreements with Enel X, Enel’s global business line devoted to innovative services, which are part of Leonardo and Enel’s strategic cooperation for the development of sustainable and innovative results. The first agreements will see the Leonardo spots in Nola( NA) and Vergiate( VA) using green energy for the spots’ own requirements, reducing the cargo from the external grid also to support business durability.
” We’re veritably pleased to contribute to Leonardo’s progressive decarbonization targets through our technologies. They’re a strategic mate who we’re committed to supporting on their ethical path, transitioning towards a more sustainable business model,” said Augusto Raggi, Head of Enel X Italia,” The results we develop and offer guests allow us to consolidate our part as a crucial player in this area and respond to the growing request demand for the need to find the right combination of fiscal savings and environmental impact. ”
” The Self- Generation Program, included in Leonardo’s Sustainability Plan, is a palpable sign of our commitment to the development of 100 green energy sources. The development of the Program, with the launch- up of airman installations, is part of the wider frame of the Group’s Energy Management model managed by Leonardo Global results, the Group’s Shared Service Company, to contribute to the structural reduction of energy consumption and related CO2 emigrations,” said Lucio Valerio Cioffi, Leonardo’s General Manager.
Under the agreement, Leonardo will grant the use of areas within its spots to Enel X, which will make photovoltaic shops using leading request technologies, with a capacity of around6.6 MWp. The shops will supply part of the energy produced to the Leonardo shops, avoiding the emigration of further than,800 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere each time. An ethical illustration of the valorization of artificial areas, combining environmental, energy and cost constraint targets.
