Laser Photonics Appoints Director with Expertise in Laser System Development for Pharmaceuticals and More

Laser Photonics Corporation (LPC) (NASDAQ: LASE), a leading global developer of industrial laser systems for material processing and cleaning applications, announced the appointment of Tim Miller to its board of directors, effective August 23, 2024. Miller will also serve as Chairman of LPC’s Compensation Committee.

Miller brings extensive experience in laser systems for material processing, having led Control Micro Systems, Inc. (CMS) since 1983. Under his leadership, CMS became a prominent provider of turnkey laser systems for various industries, including pharmaceuticals. CMS was known for pioneering software controls for laser machines used in processes such as marking, cutting, drilling, and welding. The company also designed and built comprehensive industrial laser systems tailored to unique manufacturing challenges. By the time CMS was sold for over $10 million in 2019 to 600 Group PLLC, the company had grown to over 55 employees with annual revenues exceeding $10 million.
