JohnO. Hudson, III, chairman and CEO of Nicor Gas, will be retiring effective April 22. He has accepted another administrative position with Entergy Corporation.
In his further than 22 times with Southern Company, Hudson, who served in administrative leadership places at Southern Company Gas and Alabama Power Company, has made significant benefactions in numerous areas of the company.

Prior to serving as chairman and CEO of Nicor Gas, Hudson served as administrative vice chairman and principal external and public affairs officer at Southern Company Gas. Before assuming that part, Hudson served in several administrative positions at Alabama Power.

Dallas takes over at Nicor Gas
With Hudson’s withdrawal, Wendell Dallas has been named chairman and CEO of Nicor Gas, the largest natural gas distribution company in the state of Illinois, serving further than2.2 million homes and businesses in over 650 northern Illinois communities.

Previous to his part at Georgia Power Company, Dallas served as vice chairman of operations for two Southern Company Gas accessories, Atlanta Gas Light and Chattanooga Gas. A native of Opelika, Alabama, Wendell earned a degree in mechanical engineering from Auburn University. Also, he’s a graduate of Leadership Georgia, Leadership Atlanta and Leadership Savannah.
