Infra Pipe Solutions Ltd Names Jimmy R. Herring as CEO

Infra Pipe Solutions Ltd. Appoints Jimmy R. Herring as CEO to Lead Expansion and Drive Growth Across North America

Infra Pipe Solutions Ltd., a leading manufacturer of High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipe and conduit in North America, has announced the appointment of Jimmy R. Herring as its new Chief Executive Officer. Herring assumes the role from outgoing CEO Bill Donaldson, marking a pivotal leadership transition as the company accelerates its growth strategy and operational expansion across the continent.

As one of the largest producers of HDPE pipe and conduit in North America, Infra Pipe has built a reputation for engineering excellence, product reliability, and infrastructure innovation. The company serves critical sectors including municipal waterworks, industrial drainage, electrical and telecommunications conduit, and stormwater management.

The announcement of Herring’s appointment comes at a transformative moment for Infra Pipe. With increasing infrastructure demands across the United States and Canada, the company is positioning itself to capture greater market share, drive operational efficiency, and broaden its geographic and product footprint. Herring brings more than 30 years of experience in executive leadership roles in complex, global manufacturing environments, with a proven ability to deliver value, scale businesses, and lead organizations through high-growth phases.

Board Endorsement and Strategic Vision

Greg Powell, Chairman of the Board at Infra Pipe, emphasized the Board’s confidence in Herring’s ability to lead the company through its next phase of evolution.

“Jimmy’s deep-rooted executive leadership and operational expertise, combined with his superior track record of execution, make him the ideal CEO to lead Infra Pipe into our next era of growth,” Powell said. “His disciplined approach to strategy, business development, and talent management will position the company to deliver long-term value benefitting customers, employees, and shareholders. This appointment marks an exciting new chapter in our company’s story, and I look forward to partnering with Jimmy as he leads us along the path to a promising future.”

Powell also expressed appreciation for the leadership of outgoing CEO Bill Donaldson. “We want to thank Bill for his many contributions that have helped Infra Pipe become the prominent company it is today. His leadership laid a strong foundation for the strategic opportunities ahead,” Powell said.

Recent Milestones and Expansion

Underlining its commitment to growth, Infra Pipe recently announced the acquisition of its sixth manufacturing facility, located in Jacksonville, Florida. This facility, the largest in the company’s network, is now the only solid-wall HDPE pipe production site in the state of Florida. This strategic expansion enhances the company’s ability to serve a growing customer base in the southeastern United States and strengthens its national supply chain capabilities.

The Jacksonville acquisition also reflects Infra Pipe’s proactive response to increasing infrastructure investment and modernization initiatives. Across North America, aging water systems, stormwater infrastructure, and industrial piping networks are in urgent need of repair or replacement. Municipalities and private developers are investing heavily in HDPE products due to their durability, flexibility, corrosion resistance, and cost-effectiveness. Infra Pipe’s expanding presence allows it to more efficiently support these essential projects.

Market Opportunity and Operational Readiness

The timing of Herring’s appointment aligns with surging demand for infrastructure solutions that support sustainable development, population growth, and climate resilience. Water quality, drainage, and waste management challenges are prompting rapid transformation in how municipalities and developers approach construction planning, requiring advanced piping systems that are long-lasting, environmentally friendly, and adaptable to changing needs.

Herring’s experience in navigating large-scale manufacturing operations is well suited to Infra Pipe’s strategic goals. With decades of leadership at Fortune 100 companies, as well as start-ups and private equity-backed ventures, Herring has managed global production networks, overseen supply chain optimization, and spearheaded operational turnarounds.

His leadership is expected to further enhance Infra Pipe’s manufacturing efficiency, introduce innovative product offerings, and integrate best-in-class practices across all operational areas. Herring is known for building high-performing teams, aligning business strategies with market trends, and maintaining a relentless focus on customer value and long-term profitability.

Backing from Fortress Investment Group

The company’s ambitions are also supported by strong financial and strategic backing. In November 2024, funds managed by affiliates of Fortress Investment Group acquired Infra Pipe Solutions. Fortress is well known for its focus on infrastructure, transportation, and industrial businesses and intends to build on Infra Pipe’s existing strengths by driving growth in underserved regions, expanding its customer base, and diversifying product lines.

Fortress’s acquisition signals confidence in the long-term demand for HDPE solutions and Infra Pipe’s ability to serve evolving infrastructure needs across North America. With capital and advisory support from Fortress, Infra Pipe is well positioned to invest in automation, quality control, logistics optimization, and environmental compliance—all key areas as the company scales up operations.

A Message from the New CEO

In his first remarks as CEO, Jimmy R. Herring expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity to lead Infra Pipe at such a critical juncture.

“I am incredibly excited to join Infra Pipe Solutions and help guide the company into its next phase of growth and innovation,” Herring stated. “The demand for our products is only increasing as public and private sectors invest in infrastructure for projects to replace aging structures, meet the demands from construction related to population growth, address emerging water quality issues and more. My vision is to boost our manufacturing capabilities and broaden our suite of products to better serve our clients.”

Herring added that he views people as the cornerstone of success: “I am confident that by leveraging our strengths—including our great team—and embracing new opportunities, we will build upon our market leadership position to become the leading supplier of HDPE pipe and structures in North America.”
