GE Renewable Energy to refurbish coetaneous creators at Bitsch hydropower factory in Switzerland

GE Hydro Results has inked a service contract with HYDRO Exploitation SA, acting on behalf of the asset proprietor Electra-Massa SA, to refurbish two 120 MVA perpendicular coetaneous creators at the Bitsch power factory station in Wallis, Switzerland. The main objects of the creators’refurbishment are to extend the continuance of the factory for several decades and increase the performance as well as trustability of the power station. In addition, Electra-Massa SA aims to maintain the factory completely functional until and after the concession expires in 2048.
The 340 MW hydropower factory will be equipped with two new state-of-the- art creators acclimatized to meet the client’s specific functional requirements. They will replace the former outfit which reached the end of its life. Accordingly, the hydropower factory Bitsch will profit from further flexible creators that will ameliorate the power factory’s overall effectiveness.

About the Bitsch Hydropower factory
