FIDO AI Ltd, a software company dedicated to enhancing global water resilience through AI-driven non-revenue water (NRW) reduction and curated data insights, has announced the successful completion of its Series B funding round. This investment, led by CRH Ventures—the venture capital arm of building materials provider CRH—also sees participation from existing investors such as SKion Water GmbH and Emerald Technology Ventures.
The newly acquired funding will empower FIDO AI to accelerate its growth in global water management and corporate water stewardship while exploring strategic opportunities in related markets, including building, equipment, and infrastructure.
CEO Victoria Edwards expressed her excitement about CRH Ventures’ investment, which builds on their ongoing collaboration through Oldcastle Infrastructure in the United States. “This investment not only secures our company’s future but also allows us to expand into markets we couldn’t easily reach, fulfilling our mission of creating a world without water scarcity,” she stated.
Edwards emphasized the strategic significance of the partnership with CRH, positioning FIDO AI as a leader in smart solutions for water resilience and stewardship across infrastructure maintenance and sustainability reporting.
Eduardo Gomez, Head of CRH Ventures, remarked, “This investment highlights our commitment to scaling innovative technologies. FIDO’s AI aligns perfectly with CRH’s focus on sustainable solutions for the built environment. We look forward to enhancing our partnership through Oldcastle Infrastructure to make a transformative impact in water management.”
Jason Jackson, President of Oldcastle Infrastructure, added that investing in FIDO AI is crucial for advancing critical infrastructure solutions that address global water challenges. He stated, “Together, we aim to reduce the severe impacts of water loss in our communities while evolving leak detection technology for a more sustainable future.”
Since its inception in 2019, FIDO’s unique volumetric AI has emerged as a leading technology in smart water management. The platform provides critical data insights on the presence, size, and accurate location of hidden water leaks through acoustic analysis. Additionally, FIDO’s technology is being utilized for broader watershed management, proactive maintenance, and corporate water replenishment programs through its FIDO Plus offering.
The innovative FIDO Plus corporate water stewardship model, in collaboration with Oldcastle Infrastructure, enables corporations to support the deployment of FIDO’s AI on local utility networks. This partnership focuses on prioritizing, verifying, and monitoring the rapid repair of significant leaks. The volume of saved water is validated using volumetric water benefit (VWB) accounting, a methodology recognized by the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS). This conservation not only enhances immediate water availability through watershed replenishment but also contributes to corporate environmental, social, and governance goals.
