ENGIE awardedmulti-country on- point solar contract by Faurecia

ENGIE blazoned moment the signing of an on- point solar power contract with Faurecia, a major player in the global automotive assiduity and a FORVIA Group company. This new carbon- impartiality agreement follows a global cooperation between ENGIE and Faurecia to support its energy transition objects.
This contract, awarded to ENGIE Impact, an ENGIE reality that delivers sustainability results and services to pots, metropolises and governments across the globe, covers 14 countries( Brazil, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Mexico, Morocco, The Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, South Africa and the United Kingdom). It’s a major corner in Faurecia’s roadmap to come CO2 neutral for its artificial operations( reaches 1 and 2) by 2025.

With this carbon- impartiality contract, ENGIE will give, install, operate and maintain solar panels for a accretive capacity of over 60 MW at peak product by the end of 2023, representing about 60 hectares of solar panels on Faurecia’s spots encyclopedically. As much as 30 of the total renewable power capacity handed by ENGIE will formerly be installed before the end of 2022.
Faurecia spots will buy the solar electricity produced on- point by ENGIE’s solar panels, under 15- time power purchase agreements( PPA). These PPAs will bring a 7 enhancement in the company’s energy independence versus 2019. These PPAs also illustrate Faurecia’s use less and use better principles, supporting its 2023 thing of reducing external purchasing of energy by 25.

In 2021, Faurecia named ENGIE to accompany them in their CO2 impartiality trip, through the deployment of energy saving outfit and results enabling 15 reduction of point energy consumption out of a reference of around 600 GWh. With thismulti-country on- point solar agreement, Faurecia’s spots will produce their own renewable and decarbonized energy acclimatized to each of their spots.
Catherine MacGregor, ENGIE CEO, said “ This solar energy program is another major step in ENGIE’s cooperation with Faurecia and is crucial to support its ambitious carbon impartiality pretensions. It aims to not only drive down consumption but also to decarbonize the company’s electricity force across its spots encyclopedically and demonstrates the crucial part ENGIE plays in its guests ’ energy transition objects. ”

Patrick Koller, Faurecia CEO declared “ Producing renewable energy on our spots is a central commitment to meet our 2025 ideal to come CO2 neutral for our in- house emigrations. Using strategic collaboration with global and commanding mates allows us to speed up and ameliorate our energy adaptability in a further sustainable way. Also, it reflects our commercial responsibility to have a positive impact on society and meet the requirements of unborn generations. ”
This solar power program is completely in line with ENGIE’s roadmap to accelerate the energy transition of its guests through renewable energy results and distributed energy architectures. Every day, ENGIE designs and tools knitter- made and distributed results for its guests, to help them achieve their decarbonization pretensions. The on- point solar capacity of this program will contribute to our thing to increase our distributed energy architectures by 8 GW over
