Energy Vault Holdings Inc. (NYSE: NRGV), a leader in sustainable grid-scale energy storage, has announced the successful deployment of its B-Vault AC block and VaultOS™ Energy Management System for Jupiter Power’s St. Gall Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).
Located near Fort Stockton, Texas, the 100 MW/200 MWh BESS is now operational, providing energy and ancillary services to the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT).
Energy Vault acted as the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPC) contractor and system integrator for the project. The BESS systems utilize Energy Vault’s proprietary X-Vault integration platform, including the UL9540 certified B-Vault™ product and Vault-OS Energy Management System. This innovative system architecture allows for flexibility with both battery and inverter suppliers, and supports various AC-coupled and DC-coupled configurations.

This announcement signifies an important milestone in the Energy Vault-Jupiter Power partnership, which began in 2022 with a 2.4 GWh supply chain agreement for Energy Vault’s hardware and software management platform. It also reflects the growing adoption of Energy Vault’s B-Vault product, following recent BESS deployments with NV Energy, Wellhead Electric/W Power, and a new agreement with ACEN Australia. To date, Energy Vault’s B-Vault portfolio includes over 2 GWh in total projects either deployed or in development.
