The 14-year agreement was granted by the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) Services under the NSW Roadmap Tender Round 5 for Long Duration Storage, reinforcing Energy Vault’s position as a key player in Australia’s energy transition.

  • Finalizing Regulatory Approvals: With positive progress on permitting and approvals, the project is expected to clear all procedural requirements by mid-2025.
  • Construction Start: Major pre-construction activities, including site preparation and procurement, are slated to begin in the second half of 2025.
  • Operational Readiness: Once completed, Stoney Creek BESS will be fully integrated into the New South Wales energy market, supporting long-term reliability and stability.
