Emmanuelle Guégan Appointed President Marketing & Services at TotalEnergies
TotalEnergies has announced the appointment of Emmanuelle Guégan as President Marketing & Services and a member of the Company’s Executive Committee, effective September 1, 2026. She succeeds Bernard Pinatel, who has decided to retire after a long career with the global energy company.
The appointment represents an important leadership transition for TotalEnergies’ downstream and customer-facing activities. In her new position, Guégan will lead the Marketing & Services business, a major part of the Company’s integrated energy operations, while also joining the Executive Committee responsible for helping guide TotalEnergies’ overall strategy and development.
Before taking on her new role, Guégan served as Senior Vice President Corporate Affairs for TotalEnergies’ Exploration & Production business. She had held that position since October 2025, contributing to the Company’s engagement with stakeholders and supporting its upstream operations and strategic priorities.
Her appointment to the Executive Committee follows TotalEnergies’ decision to strengthen continuity within its senior leadership team while recognizing experience developed across different areas of the Company’s global operations. As President Marketing & Services, Guégan will oversee activities positioned at the interface between TotalEnergies and its customers, markets and distribution networks.
The Marketing & Services business plays an important role within TotalEnergies’ broader integrated energy model. Its activities include the marketing and distribution of energy products and services across multiple markets, while the Company continues to adapt its portfolio to changing customer needs and the wider transformation of the global energy sector.
Guégan succeeds Bernard Pinatel, whose retirement brings an end to a longstanding career with TotalEnergies. Pinatel has been a member of the Company’s Executive Committee for the past decade and has played a significant role in the development and performance of several of TotalEnergies’ major industrial and downstream businesses.
Patrick Pouyanné, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of TotalEnergies, paid tribute to Pinatel’s contribution to the Company and welcomed Guégan to the senior management team.

Pinatel’s contribution has spanned a period of significant change for the global energy industry and for TotalEnergies itself. During his tenure on the Executive Committee, the Company continued to develop and manage its established refining, chemicals and marketing businesses while simultaneously expanding into new energy markets and technologies.
The transition comes as TotalEnergies continues to operate a diversified portfolio spanning oil and gas, liquefied natural gas, refining, chemicals, renewable electricity generation and energy services. The Company’s integrated structure requires close coordination between its different business segments, making the Executive Committee an important body for aligning operational priorities and long-term strategy.
As President Marketing & Services, Guégan will become part of the leadership team responsible for managing this increasingly diverse portfolio. Her role will involve leading a business that remains strategically important to the Company because of its direct connection with customers and its position within TotalEnergies’ broader value chain.
The appointment also reflects the importance TotalEnergies places on internal leadership development and the movement of senior executives between different areas of the organization. Guégan’s previous role in Corporate Affairs within Exploration & Production provided her with experience in one of the Company’s core operational businesses and exposure to stakeholder engagement, strategic communications and issues affecting the global energy sector.
Her move to Marketing & Services will bring her into a different but equally important part of TotalEnergies’ business structure. The segment operates in markets undergoing significant changes as customers, industries and governments seek to balance energy security, affordability and efforts to reduce emissions.

Effective September 1, 2026, the TotalEnergies Executive Committee will consist of nine senior leaders, led by Patrick Pouyanné as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
Aurélien Hamelle will continue as President Strategy & Sustainability, with responsibility for areas central to the Company’s long-term strategic direction and sustainability priorities.
Stéphane Michel will serve as President Gas, Renewables & Power, leading a portfolio that reflects TotalEnergies’ continued expansion across natural gas, renewable energy and electricity-related businesses.
Emmanuelle Guégan will join the Executive Committee as President Marketing & Services, taking responsibility for the Company’s marketing and customer-focused activities following the retirement of Bernard Pinatel.
Catherine Remy will continue as President People & Social Engagement, overseeing areas related to the Company’s workforce and broader social engagement.
Jean-Pierre Sbraire will remain Chief Financial Officer, responsible for TotalEnergies’ financial management and performance.
Namita Shah will continue in her dual role as President Asia and President OneTech, reflecting the strategic importance of the Asian region and the Company’s technology and technical capabilities.
Vincent Stoquart will serve as President Downstream and President Refining & Chemicals, continuing to oversee major industrial activities that are central to TotalEnergies’ downstream operations.
Nicolas Terraz will remain President Exploration & Production, leading the Company’s upstream oil and gas business.
Together, the composition of the Executive Committee illustrates the breadth of TotalEnergies’ global operations.
