Cormetech, a leading manufacturer of SCR Catalysts and Carbon Capture Adsorbers and Services for the emissions control industry, has announced a significant leadership transition. Effective August 19th, 2024, Patricia Martinez will assume the role of President & CEO, succeeding Mike Mattes, who will take on the position of Chairman of the Cormetech Board of Directors. John Moore, the current Chairman of the Board, expressed his enthusiasm for the transition, stating, “I am excited for Patricia and Mike to collaborate and eager to continue supporting Cormetech in my continued role as a Board Member.”
John Moore added, “I am very confident that Patricia is the right person to expand and globalize our catalyst business and commercialize our carbon capture technologies and services. I look forward to supporting her in my new role as Chairman.”
Patricia Martinez brings extensive experience and a proven track record in growing businesses within the natural gas value chain across major energy markets. Since 2021, she has led the delivery of low-carbon energy solutions, focusing on Electrification, Carbon Capture Utilization and Sequestration (CCUS), Bio Energy, and Hydrogen. Patricia currently serves on the Boards of NOV (NYSE: NOV) and Par Pacific (NYSE: PARR). With over 25 years of industry experience, including key roles at Dupont, Shell Oil, and Valerus Compression Services, Patricia is a recognized thought leader in global natural gas and its role in the energy transition.

Mike Mattes, who has been with Cormetech and its predecessor, CoaLogix, for over 17 years, has played a pivotal role in the company’s growth and success. Under his leadership, Cormetech expanded its product lines in Regeneration, Carbon Capture, and Hydrogen, solidifying its position as an industry leader in emissions control. As Chairman of the Board, Mike will continue to provide strategic oversight and support to the executive team.
