Centuri Secures $360M in Utility, Energy & Data Center Projects

Centuri Holdings, Inc. (“Centuri” or the “Company”), a leading North American utility infrastructure services company, has announced over $360 million in newly awarded projects. These awards primarily reflect expanded project scopes for key customers in the utility, energy, and data center markets. In addition to these new projects, Centuri has secured a significant new Master Service Agreement (MSA) with a major customer, further solidifying its presence across diverse end markets. The projects span a broad geographic footprint and align closely with Centuri’s core capabilities in gas, electric, and energy infrastructure solutions.

This latest announcement builds upon the nearly half a billion dollars in multi-year customer awards previously disclosed on March 24, 2025, reinforcing Centuri’s strong growth trajectory and commitment to providing critical infrastructure solutions. The newly awarded work encompasses a variety of project types, including:

  1. Construction of substation and underground electrical infrastructure to support the development of data center sites, ensuring reliable energy distribution for technology-driven facilities.
  2. A new scope of work aimed at improving grid resiliency for a leading U.S. electric utility, reinforcing power infrastructure to withstand extreme weather events and evolving energy demands.
  3. Significant industrial, generation, and mechanical work for utility and energy clients in the Northeast, supporting the modernization of aging energy infrastructure and enhancing operational efficiency.
  4. Utility distribution infrastructure modernization across North America, including a major Midwest water infrastructure project and core electric and natural gas system upgrades in various regions across the U.S. and Canada.
Addressing the Growing Demand for Reliable Energy Infrastructure

Centuri’s latest project awards highlight the increasing demand for robust and resilient energy infrastructure across multiple industries. With technological advancements such as artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), and cloud computing driving exponential growth in energy consumption, utilities and energy providers are under mounting pressure to expand capacity and improve grid reliability. At the same time, extreme weather events—such as hurricanes, wildfires, and severe storms—continue to underscore the need for resilient infrastructure that can withstand unpredictable conditions.

According to Centuri President and CEO Christian Brown, “Our customers are experiencing unprecedented demands for electric power, natural gas resources, and grid resiliency driven by surging consumer usage, technological innovation—including AI—and ongoing extreme weather events. All of these factors necessitate investment in reliable infrastructure. We are pleased to leverage our full suite of capabilities to help utility and energy customers navigate these complex challenges and deliver on their commitments to their end consumers. Centuri remains focused on building our pipeline of opportunities to help existing and new customers fulfill their infrastructure needs today and for the future.”

Strengthening Grid Resilience and Modernization

One of the most critical elements of Centuri’s latest project scope is grid resiliency. With the U.S. energy grid facing mounting stress from increased electricity demand, aging infrastructure, and climate-related disruptions, investments in modernization have become a top priority for utilities. Centuri’s newly secured projects reflect an industry-wide push to fortify transmission and distribution networks, making them more adaptable to changing energy needs.

The company’s work includes upgrading substation infrastructure and underground electrical systems, which are key to enhancing the reliability of power supply to high-demand facilities such as data centers. As the reliance on data-intensive technologies continues to grow, energy providers are seeking advanced infrastructure solutions to meet the power needs of hyperscale data centers, cloud computing hubs, and enterprise facilities.

Additionally, Centuri’s project portfolio includes critical grid-hardening initiatives for a leading U.S. electric utility. These efforts involve enhancing transmission and distribution systems to better withstand natural disasters, cyber threats, and increasing load demand. By strengthening these systems, Centuri is playing a pivotal role in improving overall grid reliability and preventing large-scale outages that can have significant economic and operational consequences.

Expansion into Water Infrastructure and Sustainable Energy Solutions

Beyond its core gas and electric infrastructure services, Centuri is expanding its reach into water infrastructure projects. The newly awarded Midwest water infrastructure project highlights the company’s growing role in addressing the intersection of energy and water management. With climate change and population growth straining water resources, modernizing water distribution systems is becoming increasingly essential for sustainability and efficiency.

In addition, Centuri’s ongoing commitment to sustainable energy solutions is evident in its support for renewable energy projects, grid interconnection work, and energy transition initiatives. As the energy sector continues to shift toward a low-carbon future, the company is well-positioned to provide essential services that facilitate the integration of renewable energy sources such as wind and solar into the grid.

Commitment to Long-Term Industry Growth and Customer Success

With over $360 million in new projects, Centuri is reinforcing its reputation as a key player in the utility and energy infrastructure sector. The company’s ability to secure large-scale contracts and MSAs reflects the trust that major utilities and energy providers place in its expertise. By maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety, and operational excellence, Centuri continues to drive long-term value for both its customers and stakeholders.

Centuri aims to further expand its market presence and enhance its service offerings to meet the evolving needs of the utility, energy, and data center industries. With a robust pipeline of opportunities and a proven track record of executing complex infrastructure projects, the company is well-positioned for continued success in the years to come.

As infrastructure demands grow and the energy landscape continues to evolve, Centuri remains committed to playing a vital role in building and maintaining the critical systems that power North America’s economy and communities.
