Centuri Names Behzad Kazerani SVP of U.S. Gas Sales and Special Projects

Centuri Appoints Behzad Kazerani as Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development for U.S. Gas and Special Projects

Centuri Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: CTRI), a premier North American utility infrastructure services provider, has announced the appointment of Behzad Kazerani as its new Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development for the company’s U.S. Gas and Special Projects division. This strategic leadership hire reflects Centuri’s ongoing commitment to driving sustainable growth, deepening customer relationships, and expanding its footprint across the energy infrastructure landscape.

With over three decades of proven experience in sales, strategy, and business development across the global energy sector, Mr. Kazerani brings a distinguished track record of success and leadership to Centuri. In his newly appointed role, he will spearhead a unified commercial strategy across the U.S. Gas operations, encompassing responsibility for business growth, market penetration, client engagement, and aligning sales efforts with broader corporate objectives. His leadership is expected to play a pivotal role in positioning Centuri to capture incremental value across U.S. gas markets and special project opportunities.

Mr. Kazerani joins Centuri following a rich professional history that includes senior leadership roles at several global engineering and energy service companies. Most recently, he served as Chief Business Development Officer at EnerMech, a global services firm focused on mechanical solutions, integrity management, and specialized maintenance across the energy and industrial sectors. Prior to EnerMech, he held high-impact positions at Petrofac, KBR, and Wood (formerly Wood Group Mustang), where he led strategic growth initiatives and built long-lasting partnerships across international energy markets.

In his new position at Centuri, Mr. Kazerani is expected to leverage his extensive U.S. and global industry knowledge to create new business pathways, drive strategic engagement with customers, and capitalize on emerging trends in the gas and infrastructure sectors. His focus will be on maximizing Centuri’s internal capabilities to respond swiftly to evolving market demands, unlocking synergies across teams, and expanding the company’s service reach.

“Behzad’s arrival is both timely and critical as Centuri continues to evolve its position in the rapidly transforming energy infrastructure landscape,” said Dylan Hradek, President of Centuri’s U.S. Gas division. “The growing complexity and scale of our customers’ needs require a leader with a comprehensive understanding of the energy value chain, a clear vision for sustainable growth, and a demonstrated ability to turn strategy into results. Behzad is that leader.”

Mr. Hradek added, “Our company has built a reputation for strong, trusted relationships—with customer partnerships averaging more than 24 years. With Behzad’s guidance, we aim to enhance those relationships and pursue new ones with a focus on long-term value creation.”

Mr. Kazerani’s academic background further reinforces his suitability for the role. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a PhD in Geotechnical Engineering. He is also a Chartered Civil Engineer, a designation that underscores his blend of theoretical expertise and real-world problem-solving experience.

His technical and academic foundation complements his decades-long commercial acumen, giving him the unique ability to bridge the gap between technical feasibility and strategic execution. His approach emphasizes not only innovation and customer alignment but also operational excellence and risk-informed growth strategies.

The appointment also underscores Centuri’s strategic focus on expanding its offerings across the full energy value chain, particularly in response to accelerating global energy demand and the evolving regulatory and sustainability frameworks shaping today’s infrastructure needs. With utilities and energy infrastructure providers under increasing pressure to modernize systems, improve resilience, and decarbonize operations, Centuri’s ability to serve as a trusted, turnkey partner is more important than ever.

“Centuri’s diversified capabilities and longstanding client relationships create a compelling platform for growth,” Mr. Kazerani said in a statement. “I’m honored to join a team that shares my commitment to service excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth. I look forward to collaborating with our customers and internal teams to unlock new opportunities and build on Centuri’s strong market position.”

Centuri’s U.S. Gas and Special Projects division plays a critical role in supporting utility clients with infrastructure maintenance, modernization, and expansion projects. These include a broad array of services—from gas distribution system upgrades to pipeline replacement, integrity management, and specialized utility-scale projects.

As part of Centuri’s broader mission to deliver safe, efficient, and forward-looking infrastructure solutions, Mr. Kazerani’s appointment is seen as a major step toward consolidating and strengthening the Company’s presence in the gas and special projects sector. His leadership is expected to further align the Company’s capabilities with the evolving needs of utility partners, regulatory expectations, and the broader energy transition.

The appointment also aligns with Centuri’s long-term vision to be the partner of choice for energy utilities navigating the twin challenges of aging infrastructure and sustainability-driven transformation. With Behzad Kazerani at the helm of business development, Centuri reinforces its strategic intent to lead the market in delivering intelligent, customer-focused, and impact-driven utility infrastructure solutions.
