Black & Veatch, a global leader in critical infrastructure solutions, has been selected as the owner’s engineer for PETROS Power Sdn Bhd’s Miri Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (Miri CCGT) Power Plant in Sarawak, Malaysia.
This facility will serve as a lower-emission alternative to traditional coal-fired power plants, with an anticipated capacity of 500 megawatts (MW) aimed at supplying power to the Sarawak State Grid.

With extensive experience in designing and constructing combined cycle power plants, Black & Veatch is well-equipped to handle diverse projects, including new installations, expansions of existing steam electric generating stations, and conversions of simple cycle peaking combustion turbines to combined cycle operations.
