Arbor Energy, a company focused on developing advanced clean power technologies, has announced a strategic agreement with GridMarket, a leading facilitator of energy and infrastructure projects, to supply up to 5 gigawatts (GW) of zero-emission baseload power beginning in 2029. The collaboration aims to address the rapidly growing demand for reliable electricity among large-scale energy users, including data centers, manufacturing facilities, logistics hubs, and other industrial operations that require continuous and dependable power supplies.

The partnership represents a significant step toward solving one of the most pressing challenges facing the global energy landscape today: the widening gap between electricity demand and the availability of new power generation capacity. As digital infrastructure expands and industries transition toward electrification, electricity consumption is rising at an unprecedented pace. Before joining Arbor, Pai served as Head of Business Development and Partnerships at Heirloom, a carbon removal company focused on scaling technologies that capture carbon dioxide directly from the atmosphere. During his time there, he helped secure and scale hundreds of millions of dollars in carbon removal agreements, working with organizations seeking long-term climate solutions.

Pai’s professional background also includes leadership roles at major technology companies such as Google, Amazon, YouTube, and Adobe. In those positions, he played a role in developing partnerships, expanding technology platforms, and bringing innovative products and services to market.

At Arbor, Pai will be responsible for building the company’s commercial pipeline and establishing strategic partnerships as the HALCYON turbine moves closer to full production. His focus will include working with utilities, infrastructure developers, and major energy consumers to deploy Arbor’s power generation technology across multiple sectors.
