Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), India’s largest and only one of the world’s leading renewable energy solutions partners, has achieved this notable ranking as the second largest global photovoltaic developer in Mercom Capital Group’s latest annual global report.
According to the report, AGEL’s exceptional performance and contribution to the renewable energy landscape contributed to this prestigious placement among the world’s leading solar photovoltaic developers. With an impressive total solar capacity of 18.1 GW, comprising operational, under construction and awarded projects (as per PPA contract), AGEL consolidates its significant position in the global solar energy sector. With a total capacity of 41.3 GW, the France-based company TotalEnergies achieved its top ranking.

Mercom Capital Group, a prominent clean energy company and research firm, has released its report highlighting the top ten global large-scale solar photovoltaic developers based on data from July 2022 to June 2023. It contains the data of projects with capacities greater than 1 MW, which includes operational capacity, projects under construction and projects awarded under Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
