Actualize Solar Hits 1.5 GW in Mid-Atlantic & Southeast US

Actualize Solar has achieved a significant milestone in its renewable energy journey, securing five new long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) with a major US utility this year. This accomplishment reflects the company’s commitment to expanding its renewable energy portfolio while meeting the growing demands of its customers. “The signing of the new PPAs demonstrates our ability to meet the needs of our customers while advancing the goal for our project portfolio to be fully contracted,” stated Bob White, Chief Development Officer of Actualize Solar. “Last year, we signed three long-term PPAs for our utility-scale projects. We intend to keep our growth trajectory.”

Actualize Solar’s current project portfolio has reached an impressive 1.5 gigawatts (GW) of capacity. This portfolio includes over two dozen solar projects spanning six states across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeastern US. Each project represents a step toward a greener future, contributing to the company’s mission to deliver clean and sustainable energy solutions. Gintaras Sadauskas, Chief Financial Officer of Actualize Solar, emphasized the strength of the team behind these achievements. “We have assembled a top-notch team with over 70 years of project development and project finance expertise to ensure our projects successfully reach their commercial operation dates. We look forward to rapidly expanding our utility-scale solar portfolio in the US,” he said.

The success of Actualize Solar lies in its disciplined and strategic approach to renewable energy development. By securing long-term contracted revenues from credit-worthy offtakers, the company ensures financial stability and project viability. Vadim Ovchinnikov, the Chief Executive Officer of Actualize Solar, highlighted this approach. “Our team’s successful track record is hinged on a disciplined, programmatic approach to renewable energy project development and ensuring all projects secure long-term contracted revenues. With over $480 million of contracted revenues, we are excited to continue bringing high-quality solar projects to communities across the US and provide competitive solutions to utilities, local cooperatives, and corporate clients,” he said.

The momentum does not stop here. Actualize Solar has ambitious plans to grow its renewable energy portfolio to 2.5 GW by the end of 2026. This expansion reflects the company’s confidence in the increasing demand for renewable energy, particularly driven by the rapid growth of AI technology and data centers in the US. “The expected high growth rates of AI technology and data centers in the US will help ensure our projects will find their customers,” added Mr. Ovchinnikov.

The company’s efforts to secure PPAs with credit-worthy offtakers not only strengthen its financial standing but also contribute to the wider adoption of clean energy. Each new PPA signifies a step toward Actualize Solar’s overarching goal of fostering sustainability and supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy. By partnering with utilities, local cooperatives, and corporate clients, Actualize Solar is paving the way for a cleaner, more sustainable future.

Actualize Solar’s achievements are a testament to its strategic planning, strong leadership, and unwavering commitment to renewable energy. With a team of experienced professionals, the company has demonstrated its ability to navigate the complex landscape of renewable energy project development and finance. This expertise enables Actualize Solar to deliver projects that are not only technically sound but also economically viable.

Looking ahead, Actualize Solar’s focus remains on scaling its operations and enhancing its impact in the renewable energy sector. The company’s ambitious goal of reaching 2.5 GW by 2026 underscores its dedication to addressing the growing energy needs of the US while supporting the global push for cleaner energy sources. As AI technology and data centers continue to drive energy demand, Actualize Solar’s strategic positioning ensures it remains a key player in meeting these needs sustainably.
