Aspen Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: AZPN), a global leader in industrial software, has announced a strategic collaboration with Landsvirkjun, Iceland’s largest power producer. This partnership will see the implementation of AspenTech’s OSI Digital Grid Management software, enhancing the utility’s ability to optimize power generation across its 18 plants in Iceland, ensuring secure and efficient management.
Landsvirkjun, Iceland’s National Power Company, is a leader in renewable energy, generating about 70% of the nation’s electricity through hydroelectric, geothermal, and wind sources. As Iceland’s electricity sector is heavily reliant on renewable energy, Landsvirkjun is crucial in maintaining the country’s power supply.

The system will enable enhanced production costing, economic dispatch, real-time control, and advanced reporting, helping Landsvirkjun strengthen Iceland’s energy infrastructure.
