Aspen Power Expands Pennsylvania Solar Footprint with Acquisition of Two Community Projects
Aspen Power, a leading distributed generation platform dedicated to accelerating the clean energy transition, today announced the closing of two new community solar projects in Northampton, Pennsylvania, with a combined capacity of 6.85 megawatts direct current (MWdc). These projects mark the first completed acquisitions under an 18 MWdc portfolio that Aspen Power has under contract with Syncarpha Capital, LLC, further cementing the company’s growing presence in the Keystone State.
The newly acquired solar facilities are expected to generate nearly 9 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of clean electricity annually—enough to power over 800 homes—and contribute to significant economic and environmental benefits for the local community. According to the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), the development and operation of these systems will support approximately 130 jobs in the region, spanning construction, operations, and maintenance roles.
