Autel Energy Unveils Next-Gen EV Charging Platform

Autel Energy Unveils Next-Generation EV Charging Platform to Power the Future of Zero-Emission Mobility

At its “INFINITE POWER – STARTING FROM ZERO” Global Launch Event, Autel Energy Europe announced the arrival of its most advanced electric vehicle (EV) charging platform to date. This next-generation system represents a significant milestone for the company, offering a comprehensive solution to meet the rapidly growing global demand for ultra-fast, reliable, and scalable charging infrastructure.

The new platform builds upon Autel’s expertise in power electronics and system integration. Unlike many industry players who rely heavily on third-party components, Autel has chosen to design and engineer its own liquid-cooled power modules in-house. This approach provides not only greater control over performance and reliability but also ensures long-term scalability, adaptability, and cost efficiency.

By combining innovative power modules, scalable cabinet systems, upgraded all-in-one chargers, and AI-driven service features, Autel aims to offer a charging solution that can flexibly serve everything from passenger cars to heavy-duty trucks, as well as fleet depots, commercial hubs, and highway charging corridors. The launch underscores Autel’s ambition to be at the forefront of Europe’s and the world’s transition to zero-emission transport.

Core Innovation: MaxiModule LCM60/120 Liquid-Cooled Power Modules

At the heart of Autel’s new charging ecosystem lies its MaxiModule LCM60/120 series. These liquid-cooled power modules, available in 60 kW and 120 kW versions, are designed to set new benchmarks in terms of conversion efficiency, operational stability, and thermal performance.

Engineered in-house by Autel’s research and development teams, the modules are optimized for:

  • Sustained high-power operation under extreme environmental conditions.
  • Consistent thermal performance, preventing overheating and ensuring reliability during continuous fast-charging cycles.
  • Scalability, enabling operators to expand charging capacity as demand increases without costly infrastructure overhauls.

By controlling the design and production process internally, Autel reduces dependence on external suppliers, lowers total cost of ownership for operators, and enhances long-term serviceability. This approach ensures higher uptime, future-ready adaptability, and robust support for emerging charging standards.

Scalable Infrastructure: MaxiCharger DS600L Cabinet Systems

Autel’s power modules come to life in the MaxiCharger DS600L cabinet system, a highly scalable infrastructure solution purpose-built for large-scale charging sites.

Each DS600L cabinet can achieve an impressive total output capacity of up to 3 MW per cabinet cluster, making it well-suited for:

  • Fleet depots requiring simultaneous charging of dozens of vehicles.
  • Logistics hubs transitioning to electrified trucks and vans.
  • Public charging stations along highways that need to serve multiple EVs rapidly and reliably.

A defining feature of the DS600L is its redundant architecture. Critical components such as power modules, control units, and the switching matrix are built with backup systems, reducing the risk of downtime. For operators, this means greater assurance of uninterrupted service — a critical factor as EV charging infrastructure scales into mission-critical territory.

The system also supports flexible site configurations, offering compatibility with both CCS (Combined Charging System) and the emerging MCS (Megawatt Charging System) standard. Furthermore, DS600L integrates seamlessly with battery energy storage systems (BESS) and solar photovoltaic (PV) installations. This enables operators to reduce peak demand charges, optimize energy use, and incorporate renewable power into their operations.

Adding further versatility, the DS600L can be paired with a wide range of dispensers and terminal units. Whether it’s compact posts for passenger vehicles or ultra-high-power dispensers for heavy-duty trucks, the cabinet system provides tailored solutions for virtually every charging scenario.

Among the standout terminals is the MaxiCharger DT1500, capable of delivering up to 1,500 A and 1.44 MW of charging power. This makes it a future-proof option for the next generation of ultra-fast charging requirements, especially in the commercial transport sector.

Compact Power: The MaxiCharger DH600 All-in-One Upgrade

While scalable cabinet systems provide flexibility for large sites, Autel has also advanced its all-in-one charger line with the launch of the MaxiCharger DH600.

Building on the success of the DH480, the new DH600 retains the series’ compact footprint and streamlined design while offering significantly upgraded performance. Key highlights include:

  • Continuous high-power delivery of 600 kW, ensuring ultra-fast charging even during sustained use.
  • Liquid-cooled charging cables supporting up to 650 A, providing robust thermal management and reliable operation under demanding conditions.
  • Adaptability across diverse charging scenarios, from urban public charging points to high-demand highway service stations.

The DH600’s improved efficiency and sustained performance make it a highly competitive solution for operators who need maximum output in a minimal space. By balancing compact design with cutting-edge thermal management, Autel has positioned the DH600 as a reliable choice for both current and future EV needs.

Beyond Hardware: MaxiCare Service and AI Integration

Autel’s innovation does not stop at hardware. Recognizing that modern EV charging infrastructure must also be intelligent and user-friendly, the company introduced MaxiCare service capabilities and AI-driven features at the launch.

These include:

  • Predictive maintenance, using AI to detect early signs of potential issues and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Real-time network optimization, allowing operators to dynamically balance loads, manage energy costs, and maximize asset utilization.
  • Enhanced driver experience, with AI tools streamlining user interactions, improving charging session reliability, and reducing waiting times.

Autel is also exploring the future role of AI in inspection, diagnostics, and energy flow management, setting the stage for next-generation smart charging networks. By integrating AI into its ecosystem, Autel aims to provide operators with not only advanced equipment but also intelligent platforms that evolve with the market.

A Foundation for the Charging Networks of Tomorrow

According to Andreas Lastei, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Autel Energy Europe, the launch represents a holistic approach to EV infrastructure:

“By developing our core power modules in-house and integrating them into scalable cabinet systems, high-performance terminals, and next-generation all-in-one chargers, we are providing flexibility and reliability for the evolving EV charging market. Together with our intelligent service platform and AI capabilities — and full readiness for CCS, MCS, BESS, and PV — this launch provides a comprehensive foundation for building the charging networks of the future, supporting Europe’s transition to zero-emission transport.”

Driving the Energy Transition Forward

The timing of this launch is crucial. As Europe and many other regions accelerate the transition to zero-emission mobility, the pressure on charging infrastructure continues to grow. Fleet operators need reliable large-scale solutions, consumers demand faster charging with minimal downtime, and grid operators look for smarter ways to integrate renewable energy.

Autel’s next-generation platform is positioned to address these diverse challenges. With modularity, scalability, and intelligence at its core, the system offers a blueprint for the future of EV charging — one that can grow alongside market needs and technological advancements.

By combining engineering innovation, scalable architecture, and AI-driven intelligence, Autel Energy has created more than just charging hardware. It has laid down the foundation for a connected, efficient, and future-proof charging ecosystem that could play a pivotal role in achieving global decarbonization goals.
